Elliott Davis Investment Advisors Consultant Earns AIF® Designation

CHARLOTTE, N.C., January 4, 2010 – Elliott Davis Investment Advisors is pleased to announce that Gary E. Shuford II has been awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies.

Shuford, a retirement services advisor for Elliott Davis Investment Advisors, earned the AIF designation – which signifies training in fiduciary responsibility – in December.

With more than 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, Shuford assists clients by developing investment policy guidelines, providing fund research and conducting performance reviews to ensure compliance with fiduciary standards.

His other credentials include: Investment Advisor Representative; Certified Retirement Services Professional, Institute of Certified Bankers; and Series 7 and 66 licenses. Shuford is also a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.

Elliott Davis to Mark Office Move with Wellness Walk

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 1, 2009 – Elliott Davis, PLLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, announces the relocation of its Charlotte office to 700 E. Morehead Street on Dec. 4, 2009.

To mark the occasion, the firm is holding an employee Wellness Walk at 11:00 a.m. on Dec. 4 from its current location at 1300 S. Mint Street to its new location on E. Morehead Street. The walk will kick off the office’s new wellness program.

“This office move is significant as it highlights our successful growth in this market. And, as our growth continues, we want to ensure our workforce is happy and healthy,” said Dan Warren, managing shareholder for Elliott Davis’ Charlotte office. “Vibrant employees are the foundation of our fully engaged team. Recently named among the area’s “Best Places to Work” by the Charlotte Business Journal, Elliott Davis opened its Charlotte office in 2007 after a merger with local CPA firm Elliot & Warren. Post-merger, the firm had 23 Charlotte employees; today, it has 54 employees in this market.

The firm will take advantage of these numbers by creating internal teams for wellness challenges and by bringing group exercise classes in-house for employees. Elliott Davis Named Among Charlotte’s “Best Places to Work” for 2009

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 4, 2009 – Elliott Davis, PLLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, has been named among the Charlotte Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” for 2009.

The awards event – which honors outstanding companies whose benefits, policies and practices are among the area’s best – was held today at the Charlotte Convention Center. Elliott Davis ranked 14th out of the Top 25 companies named in the mid-sized business category.

Rankings are based on employee surveys collected and analyzed by Quantum Market Research.

GREENVILLE, S.C., August 21, 2009 – Elliott Davis Investment Advisors is pleased to announce that partner Kenneth Vilcheck has been appointed to the board of the National Association of Independent Retirement Plan Advisors (NAIRPA).

Vilcheck will represent Elliott Davis Investment Advisors in NAIRPA, a national organization formed in March 2009 to educate policymakers about the role of retirement plan advisors and the importance of independence and to impact policymaking surrounding retirement plans.

An Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF) with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Vilcheck leads Elliott Davis Investment Advisors’ retirement plan team.

ANDERSON, S.C., Jul. 8, 2009 – Elliott Davis Investment Advisors announced it has added William E. Kibler Jr., Edward F. Blackburn Jr., and Jennifer S. Reynolds in the firm’s Anderson, S.C. office.

William E. Kibler Jr. joins Elliott Davis Investment Advisors as senior vice president. A senior portfolio manager with over 28 years experience, Kibler specializes in portfolio management.

Kibler worked with Smith Barney and JC Bradford and Company prior to joining Elliott Davis Investment Advisors.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Erskine College in Due West, S.C.

Kibler is a trustee and board chair with AnMed Health System in Anderson, S.C., and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

Edward F. Blackburn Jr. joins the Anderson office as senior vice president. He has over ten years experience specializing in financial planning and portfolio management.

Prior to joining Elliott Davis Investment Advisors, Blackburn worked with Smith Barney in Anderson, S.C.

He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C.

Blackburn is a board member of the United Way’s Success by Six program; a board member of the Hanna-Westside Extension Campus Academy of Finance; and alumnus of the Leadership Anderson Class of 2008.

Jennifer S. Reynolds joins Elliott Davis Investment Advisors as client services senior portfolio administrator.

Reynolds has more than eight years experience in portfolio administration, and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Prior to joining Elliott Davis Investment Advisors, Reynolds worked with Smith Barney in Anderson, S.C.

She received a bachelor’s degree from Shorter College in Rome, Ga.
